Milan Design Week

On the occasion of the 64th edition of Milan Design Week, P.A.R.O.S.H. brings together two great artists within the space of its boutique at Corso Venezia 12, which becomes an unprecedented setting for a special in-store exhibition.

Antonino Sciortino and SOWDEN will transform the entire location, customizing it with exceptional works created exclusively for the brand. Apparently very different, yet united by a strong stylistic identity that makes them immediately recognizable, both create a balance between solidity and lightness—though in different ways: the former through slender figures that seem almost suspended, the latter through colors and patterns. A live experience not to be missed, “on stage” from April 21 through June 2026, perfectly aligned with the Fuorisalone theme “Being Project” offering a vivid narrative of hands, materials, and stories that intertwine and shape the way we relate to the outside world, freeing us from superstructures and inviting us simply to listen.

Bio

Antonino Sciortino: sicilian by birth, at the age of eight he learned the craft of blacksmithing in his brother’s workshop, while also developing a passion for dance by attending a dance school in Palermo.
After a successful career as a dancer and choreographer, in 2003 he opened a studio in Milan, beginning a new artistic phase aimed at merging his previous experiences by seeking the ethereal lightness of dance in ironwork. Alongside his work as an artisan, he also designs products for many Italian and international furniture companies.
His works seem to change dimension, moving like a choreography with every shift of light and position, bearing witness to a journey between air and fire “Iron is a therapeutic material: it doesn’t rush you and it never betrays you.”

SOWDEN: A brand founded by George Sowden, born from a Milan-based design studio grounded in continuous research, experimentation, and creativity. Specializing in objects, accessories, and lifestyle furnishings, with a strong focus on lighting, among the brand’s best-known products are the DUAL FUNCTIONALITY lamps, which can be used both as fixed lighting when connected via USB power supply and as portable lamps thanks to their built-in lithium-ion batteries.
SOWDEN approaches sustainability in all its complexity, with a concrete commitment to designing durable and repairable products.
The brand’s work integrates craftsmanship and technological innovation through an international network spanning Italy and China. At the same time, it promotes cultural activities and collaborations with artists and designers within its Milanese store and exhibition space at Corso di Porta Nuova 44.
